Ah love, don't leave home without it

Poem Artwork

Looking back from Neptune

I see we never had a chance

The icy blasts from Jupiter

Only chilled our young romance

The blazing heat of Mercury

Reminds me of our Passion

The redness of the planet Mars

Teary eyes against face that’s ashen

I cry out to Venus as she passes by

I beg another chance to touch

Another tear and question why

I’ve left the one I love so much

Up ahead mysterious giants

I pass Uranus glowing blue

Swirling storms that block the surface

I long for one last look at you

Saturn with its giant rings

Flaunts the gift I gave that day

But the ring I chose was not enough

Your heart I could not sway

So I journey from this planet earth

To renew my chance at love

There is none here so I will now

Soar deep into skies above

With Pluto sitting at my side

Watching quietly as I wait

A stoic son of Sirius

That guards the entrance to our gate

Isn't Disney's Pluto a hound? I don't think I've ever seen a "stoic Chihuahua" so this is another world indeed. Very touching. e

"A stoic cosmic Chihuahua." Now there's an original image. I will never see the little rats with overgrown ears in the same light again.
