Monday night notes from the 14th deck south of Vancouver BC...Cruisin' & Boozin'

Photo: Patrick Granfors

Poem Artwork

The sea breeze cries out its direction

Head west

Follow the golden shimmering waves

Out

Past the darkened archipelago

Chase the flaming sky

That dances with angel’s breath all aglow

Savor the taste of salt on the wind

Feel the gentle sway of Neptune’s cradle

As you rock slowly

Peacefully

To Sleep

You have recalled, recreated, and shared the ambiance very effectively, Patrick. I've not often been at sea but my ancestors were fishermen from Brittany, France who came to fish on the Grand Banks off Newfoundland. I think some of that spirit is in my blood. Please read, "Sailors' Lullaby" posted by me here at AD. Your poem reminds me of it and the feelings that brought it to life. Love and peace to you,

Regis

In the Whirlwind by Tichaona Chinyelu

In the Whirlwind is a poetic storm that frees history from the cages of corruption and puts it in the hands of everyday people. Words are weaved into a new fashion statement that has nothing to do with runways but everything to do with projects!
