He had slept most of the day

out in the Sun

you see for Arthur

the night time was more fun.

So as the nightime

drew across the land,

Arthur shook his legs

stood up

then turned around.

What a shock

greeted his eyes

there was a Fox

starring at him

with a very odd smile.

'Yes can I help you?'

shocked Arthur asked.

The Fox blinked several times

before he replied,

'Times are hard

with this drought

can you share some of your food

only a small amount?'

Arthur gave him a stern look

nearly swallowed his tongue

while deep in thought,

you see Arthur really has a kind  heart

so he showed Foxy his bowl

said 'Eat up my lad

you can have the lot.'

But as he spoke he looked all around

if someone had seen what he had done

he might be

the laughing stock in town.
