I am pouring my heart out because I am going through something personal, but I thank a Wonderful, Faithful God that I am not going through alone...He is 'Here' with me. I am so grateful that I know in situations such as these, He walks with us every step of the way! And though it might seem as though we are not...we are...in His care, completely! I ask all of you that know the Power of Prayer to please keep me and my son, Asa, lifted up. Thank you

Poem Artwork

Somewhere…in the realm of Happiness

blue skies glisten with sun light

accenting outstretched wings

that glide gracefully upon the air

and the distant laughter of children unseen

usher in  pleasant memories

which fill...the atmosphere

Somewhere…in the realm of Happiness

winds tenderly suckle fields of colors

that are abundant and washed

with fragrances...unforsaken

and in an afternoon’s golden glow...tree limbs...

bend picturesquely…laden

with fruit…waiting to be taken

Somewhere…in the realm of Happiness

the knit of family

needled with purls of perseverance

boasts...of strength

and one prays...that they never have to face

the loss of happiness…for

it is their...sole content

~

But this is not so…Here…where I abide

not Here…where happiness has flown

no, not…Here…where for years...it seems

…its been unknown

rather…in the absence of happiness

is the Fullness of...His Joy

substantiating that God’s Word

...is not a ploy

~

Here…is a Savior who has not turned

neither has He swayed

instead has drawn even closer

...attending in every way

Here…is a God

who has promised to never abandon

who through this present darkness

still...points to trust tavern

Here…is His embrace

which this soul doth desperately seek

and the warmth…that readily brings

...rebuke of doubt’s heap

Here…a gentle nudge timely reminds

that everything will be put to the test

as the end is encroaching in a final call

and nothing goes unchallenged…in my hope-chest

~

Then, should I complain…am I above disdain

while some are dying by the thousands

because they claim ‘His’ Name?

My Redeemer has nothing at all

…to explain!

~

Thus, I pen so we should take heart

and know…we can go on!

I pen that we be reminded

to remember…there’s still reason for a praise song!

I pen that we never lose faith

but know…though not happy or full of cheer

the loss of such is not despair...

there is...an antidote for every tear...

for...'His' Joy... is always

…HERE!

You certainly know how to write your heart out. When you say you have no happiness, I wish for you to find some very soon. There is no one that can help you more than your own strength and resolve. That I can see in your writing of these words so well.

Truly a heart-felt rendition of inner feelings (of hope and promise) if there ever was one. The Lord brings guidance, perseverance and ultimately peace. John

There is no avoiding storms, being tested, and experiencing the full range of emotions we've been endowed with. Speaking for Michele and me: we are tested where we are weakest. One of our sons has cancer. He's 31 years old. There is no joy in that. None! But I've learned that Earth has no sorrow that Heaven cannot heal in time. Ardelia Cotton Barten said it well: "The burdens of life I will take up now, but never my heart will they stain. If sorrows of Earth fit me for Heaven, no reason have I to complain." Take care. Remember: "The hope of the righteous brings joy" Peace to you... rlc
