There will be no roasted turkey
on my table…though I am able
And there will be no …dressing
though, I can afford this staple
Sweet baked ham won’t be here
nor all the other foods to ladle
I think I’ll make it quick n’ lite
maybe a salad but… maybe not
And…since I am a pescatarian
a fish-dish is sure to hit the spot
I will dine after sunset …while
basking in a Peace…He’s begot
Provider God …He... gives me much
missing not iota, no…not one thing
And it’s not at all about possessions
but Unconditional Love…of A King
As, houses, money, clothes… and all
hasn’t the Promises to which I cling
For, God…put me, as an embryo
in fluids of an unwelcoming sea
And He guarded…and protected
from attacks …come deliberately
Into His waiting hands…I came
prompting a cry and…a breathe
Unfinished, He continued pursuit
beckoning me to Salvation’s Tree
I’m grateful that He persisted, for
His Victorious Power…set me free
So, When I say I have…A Friend…
I refer specifically to Him and me
I marvel His … tender… capacity
upon His breast I’ve cried a river
His stroke of vast understanding
is equal to His render as forgiver
Countless times my errs …vanish
negating aim of earth’s deceiver
Then… it’s His constant care which
leaves me so awed … and in wonder
Once I did not know but now I see…
when He permitted all my blunders?
He carved a … tool… who now pens
good news pointing to...Him...yonder
For Redeemer…I will eternally rejoice
I'm Blessed and Kept …above measure
Spiritually, physically, mentally…24/7
He metes provisions …at His pleasure
He’s a Father, who guides humble path
Esteeming His Glory…I’ll ere endeavor
My granddaughter generously offered
to fly me for family dinner…up North
But I kindly declined, so I could savor
a time with …Him…who is my source
Thanksgiving or any day…what am I
most...thankful for? God, of course!

I don't know your reason for not taking your daughter's generous offer, but, like me, it may be extenuating physical health problems. But I found it quite sad that you would choose a mythical entity over once again joining face-to-face in conversation over food with your family.

But as I look at the recent reviews, I see lots of friendly chattering but little feedback on what supposed to be happening. That is an honest review of the poetry form and style.
So here is my review for you. I have been reading your poetry for many years now. The impact is has made is getting more profound. That is, your ability to clearly express yourself is now, pardon the pun, "Clear as a bell." Your poetry also flows much better and is much more advanced from where it was years ago. Also, the content, although the focus remains the same is much deeper and more detailed in its description of the subject matter. Suffice to say, the English has also improved to an extent I find also little or no fault with any
of your recent poems. So, it's been a delight to read and I expect will only get better from here on. The references help support the content which is a habit I need to get back to, myself.
