Poem for my deceased brother.

Closing my eyes I visualize the way you use to be

I wish life could be simple
where no one had to lose a loved one
that way I could be the baby sister you imagined me to be

why can't the world be different
without pain or heartbreak
without misery or shame

I was shattered the first three years without you
my whole world use to revole around you
my beloved older brother
a life beyond here is where you are

thirteen years you were my angel
the person I idolized & now you're only a memory

while the years keep passing
you remain only eighteen

Such a short life! I hope he packed a lot into it. I can see that he mentored you a great deal as his younger sister.

Nice tribute. Life is always harder on the living, as our emotions can tear us up inside. Thankfully we do have memories to help us trough the hard times.

Sentiment that's palpable. Death leaves a heartache no one can heal. Love leaves a memory no one can steal. Thanks for sharing. Peace... r
