Poem Artwork
It wasn’t a vision, or a dream,
or even an epiphany, really.
The photos from the Hubble were,
of themselves, a window into
the very cells of god; essence
of all that was, is and will come.
She had no words in her head
as she devoured every pixel
of Life’s eternal motion – viewable
by soul’s eye, while her mind babbled,
“Oh, my god. Oh, my god….”

(There are colors, forms, shiftings,
combinings and realms we cannot see
with naked human eyes, can hardly
comprehend, but our inner essences
see them. Our hearts ache to be in their core,
our spirits crescendo beyond bearability,
a shift of conscious gives us a glimpse
into the original primordial birth
of our birth into god’s imagination.)

It became a vision, and a dream,
an epiphany of soul, especially.
She imagined the Hubble, smaller than
an atom in the immenseness of space,
sent out into spatial dark, flying,
floating like a dust mote on winds
of caprice, constantly bombarded by
cosmic sight-waves; irradiated
by an eye of god. She was god…
You are god. We can be god.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I would like to thank Sue Barton for having a link to this site on her poem, 'Light And Shadow In The Carina Nebula (Haiku)'. As I veiwed the magnificence of the space of god, a few photos put titles into my head. The realization, as I observed some of these photos with the stars looking so close together, but which are, in actuality, unfathomable in the distances between their celestial bodies, even as they create a circle, was almost frightening. And powerfully exhilarating. I applaud all who have concepted, engineered, built and launched, with love and dedication, our 'god' eye to wonders we could never have imagined.
Isn't it magnificent?! It makes me think about the inner part of our cells. I'm sure they look the same! Good work!
Quite provocative, Erin. The Hubble has sent back many pictures that should give us all moments to consider our significance. I was not aware of this one. Thank you for both the poem and the pic.
