--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I watched a Jewish wedding from on high,
not them, but I, in hues of
darkest red marooned, yamikas
of bright fuchsia, the happiness of families,
strung, below my eyes.
Petals red of roses strewn, flower girls
with flowered crowns, dressed in white,
fidgeted, below my eyes.
Hotel’s marbled terrace wed two entities,
in Hebrew tongue, I, the fortunate one
who was a guest, bled, with future
possibilities of couple’s blissful bed,
consecrated, below my eyes.
Petals red of roses strewn, flower girls
with flowered crowns, dressed in white,
fidgeted, below my eyes.
Sensual I felt the air, LA’s girth
unfounded here, where yamikas peeped
up at me, proclaiming faith in Life unseen
after Death, I felt blessed to be
viewing such, below my eyes.
Petals red of roses strewn, flower girls
with flowered crowns, dressed in white,
still, fidgeted, below my eyes.
The gift of selves’ commemorized
by photographs of theirs, and mine,
convey a truth I can’t deny, Love
celebrates an aptitude to rejoice
in itself…
Petals red of roses strewn, flower girls
with flowered crowns, dressed in white,
digitized, below my eyes.
