Snow Shower Ache

Outside; inside; ‘in her mind.’
Predawn; alarm awakens; ‘still want to sleep.’
Clouds thicken; coffee is made; ‘groan-chores of school day.’
A few flakes fall; cats scooted out door; ‘got to wake the girls!’
Snow blur comes closer; jumble-dressed rushing; ‘please let it snow.’
Pellets sleet softness; faces turn skywards; ‘love the sting on my cheeks!’
Quick rush of storm; laughs mingle with smiles; ‘drat, school’s almost starting!’
Air opaques; time used up by need; ‘I’m missing it all!’
Storm's over; alone and alive; ‘I hate this ache…’
Outside; inside; ‘out of her mind.’

Great write. If it is a storm you are looking for, you can come visit me. We are having a full spectrum for the fourth time in three weeks. Rain, Snow, Sleet, Freezing Rain, Ice and what ever else the weather people can think to call it. I love the cold temps, but I would like to see the ground again...lol
Hugs,
