What About Me? They said we looked good together so many years ago. We thought it would last forever, but what did we know? We never expected the changes that come with the years, the way that time rearranges our hopes and our fears. So many things I thought I wanted I just couldn't find, and I felt the best part of me I had to leave behind. I wanted to find someone who looked just like you, but finding another lover was much easier for you. I wanted to find someone. I wanted to be free. 'Til you found somebody else and forgot about me. Now you've found somebody else. But what about me? Yeah, you've found somebody else. What about me? God came down and tapped my shoulder. 'Twas just the other day. He said "You'd better look behind you. That's all I've got to say." But memories can be so cruel. They tear at your heart. They make it seem so impossible to make a new start. I called up the house the other night. No one answered the phone. And I knew if I tried to find you, you wouldn't be alone. I've wanted so badly to find that girl I once knew, but finding another lover was too easy for you. I wanted to find someone, the right one for me. But you found somebody else and you set me free. Now you've found somebody else. But what about me? Yeah, you've found somebody else. What about me? Yeah, you've found somebody else. What about me? Yeah, you've found somebody else. What about me?
