This is an experience that instilled a much greater confidence in my faith in a higher power.
I stood before an elephant.
Once you see.
It was just before the parade began.
I looked up and the elephant
stood there looking down at me.
One very large eye
Made me feel confident,
Secure
And oh so very blessed.
Then the giant animal took a step
And began to leave.
The look in his great eye said.
This is a message to you from God.
You love me.
And now you see.
Animals and nature can snap you back to the reality of a higher power/God. I remember my brother once telling me how he felt a similiar thing and he was telling people at his AA/NA meeting how each zebra has different stripes and how could you not see God in that--I agreed with him. Whenever I want to get centered, I take a walk, and although I don't get lucky enough to see elephants or zebras, lol, the squirrels, birds, chipmunks, etc, give me that same feeling of this is where God resides.
