Today I found a memory
Sealed away inside my book.
It was a note you gave me
It hurt, and I could barely look.
The note itself was not painful
Our situation was, though.
I wish I could forget.
You really stooped so low.
You took advantage of me
No more inocence that I own.
Maybe this song will get me through it.
My song that is unknown.
You gave me my first kiss.
You gave me everything.
I was falling for you.
It was like you were my king.

"Even though you smiled while I lay.

I missed my first homecoming
Waiting up for you.
You were with another then
And there was nothing I could do.

"There was nothing possible to keep my tears at bay,

I should have listened when they told me
You were bad news
Stay away.
But a woman's love is strong.
It is impossible to make it fray.

"I came to a realization on a brand new day.
You never loved me anyway."

Even though you left.
I still wait for that call.
Telling me that you are sorry
And miss our trip to the mall.

"But there is nothing you can do or say.

So I guess that's that.
To you, we never met.
Well two can play at that game.
My new goal is set.

Be a prisoner to your own twisted mind.

You taught me a lesson
I'm glad I learned presently.
Fall in love with someone you know.
I'll do what's right for me.
And even though my heart aches
It's not you that it aches for.
It wants the person It thought you were
But that person was only your fake lore.

(This is a poem about my first heartbreak in which I dealt with a player, and although it doesn't seem like it in the poem, I'm still a virgin. That's just a note for those who know me and read this and get the wrong idea!)
