Poem Artwork

Cry my gentle summer
Like the years we have done before
Where nothing ever goes my way
And everything ends in gore

My heart oozes blackened blood
From the pain I have caused and felt
As tears fall from my tired eyes
My heart begins to open and melt

I want to take my fist
And punch a hole into my heart
For feeling how it does
Make the pain depart

I want to watch the blood congeal
From the dying organ on the ground
This still organ was once mine
The one that makes no sound

“Why can we not live in peace ?“I cry
“Why can you not understand?
“All I want is to be happy
“And be able on two strong legs to stand

“Why must you cause me so much pain
“And kill the souls of ones I cherish
“But in destroying your filthy vessel
“I too will perish.”

Follow this wretched heart I must
I have to admit, it is right
It knows the truth of my soul
It will allow me to take flight

For if I do not listen
I will slowly go insane
I will never lose if I listen with sense
I will only be allowed to gain

All I feel is pain right now
For having to hurt someone so dear
But I am free from all my nightmares
I have nothing left to fear

I appologize my darling
I am sure you hurt more than I know
But you will know it is best for us both
When you find the one that makes you glow

It gets worse before it gets better
Is not that the old cliche
Pain will die with the sunset
And hope be born with the day
