They say you are not my father
Those who look into our blood
In search of identity
Why can’t they look into our feelings?
And see who my real father is:
You dad, you alone
The test is out
Our DNA doesn’t match
An now they must take you from me

Is it him who we both share the same DNA

Thank you...I have an adopted daughter and raised her knowing I am her "Mom" but since she found her birth relations I have been insecure about our relationship...this poem helps...outstanding...
This is soooo heartfelt. I know that feeling of disappointments on both sides. You are right, your Daddy should always be your father, THE REAL ONE!!!!! - The other one is just a biological father. This is the difference between THE REAL ONE and the biological one. It is so sad that even now people don't know the difference between the two.

They say anyone can make a baby, but only a speacial man is a father..Beautifuly moving, as always I am deeply inspired..

Sweet one, Toris. It is the parent who is a parent that is the parent. Wise lady.
Is the father the one who loved and nurtured you or the one with the DNA? This is the question that many people must answer for themselves. Me, I pick the loved and nurtured over DNA anytime. Good Luck!! also a great write.
