I am a poet and so I see With Rhyme-sight free and clear The beauty of life and sea And the terrors lurking there. We stand alone on a darkling shore Futile lamps held against the night We can but hear the breakers roar We dare not loose our light. Cast your lamp into the sea; And follow it with your heart. Learn in the water how things be, Find Light and Life through the dark! I am a poet and so I see With rhyme-sight free and clear, A gift the Poet gave to me For all who have ears to hear.
