Wings Of Love

If I could grow wings
Now I am left out
Alone I sit and cry
Left only with my sorrow
Empty and dull with pain
And with a bruised sore heart
Oh! Let God make me a place in the sky
I would travel up there
If I could grow wings like a bird
I will fly to him up there
Dull and faint in my heart
When the dark brings the night
I go out under the eaves
Alone I stand there and listen
I am quiet and try to hear
I say to myself he is coming
If only I could get to you
A heart is a real one
If you visit it you know
He who installs pain
Never knew true love
But I do know love
You are that pain
You my love
“You”

Very sad one. Touching my heart.
Let your thoughts fly over to him. They might reach him.

Tinka,

I know one thing for sure. You do have a heart of gold. A quality which is a true measure of a human being. Lots of Love, Joy and Happiness to You, my Friend. Happy Holidays. Beautiful poetry.

Tinka, you've written another gem. Sad, thought-provoking, a gentle tear drop of a broken heart. I'm keeping this one.
