“Sand Castle”

On this beach of loneliness today
I build a Sand Castle of hope and love
An ocean so blue…malevolent and dark
I build it with grains of love
Grains of sand wetted by teardrop of gold
And with pain deep within my heart my love
I painted it in colors of the rainbow
But one moment too late
A wave of gossip washed it away
Just to leave the footprints of hurt behind
Footprints so deep…it left me blind
Too blind to see
That love could hurt so bad
Tomorrow I might try again
To build a love castle in vain
Just living my dreams… build on sand
As I still wait

To walk this beach of love with you
I still need your love
To make my life beautiful
I need footprints of love
And Castles of joy
Not of love and hope
That gets washed away everyday!!

“Broken heart no joy in life
Everlasting footprints left within
A heart misused and abused
Many may come

But this one will die”

Staggering, Tinka... fair takes the bubbles out of all me Christmas fizz-pop, but perhaps a little relieved to see the 2003 copyright... perhaps that sandcastle has been removed to the rock by now, and is weathering a little better... I certainly hope so; if not, just gotta build higher and better, I guess! You certainly know how to create emotion-filled writes that build up and then leave us awash with swirling eddies and sandstorms! Every tear precious and stored in a diamond bottle, Tinka. Ha-ha-p-pyyyy Chr-christ-ma-ma-assss ....xxxxxxxx K xx

Beautiful, but so sad, Tink. I have trouble knowing if you are really sad or if you are just the queen of melancholy poetry. You are that. I wish I could cheer you up. Anyway, have some Season cheer and enjoy the Holidays. Lovely pic, poem and song. Love and [[[[[[[[hugs]]]]]]]

Just leave the last two words out above, and go for it, Tinky.

Sweet words of sadness that linger in the mind but ache in the heart with a longing to make things better...even knowing that only love and time can do that.
That is good picture of you too Tinka.

Tinka...I can only guess that you write from hard experience here...and yes, this is a sad piece but brutally real, for anyone who has been there. Composition wise, this is an excellent piece of work...you flow of imagery and rhythm is splendid.
