Merry Christmas to my Den Family"

"Mindless"
Mindless beyond the imagined point I found a space of peace and tranquility Isolation overwhelms me Within this perfect emptiness Sitting here… waiting for midnight to come I press myself upon you in spirit Wrapped up in spite of self pity Dying a million tiny deaths Zipped up and discarded Alone I move across my thoughts unknown by you Thoughts that pulls and lulls me into reflection With emotions too intense to act Needles and pins pinching my feet As my eyes well with tears Memories come rushing back You broke a promise once made Staring at the walls Stiffen at the emptiness time has brought Trembling in this quiet hour Before going to bed I walk with myself Tearful and sad Thinking… about you
Tinka, alone is some times what the doctor ordered. Enjoy your solituded as much as your company. If you didn't have time alone, how would you write your beautiful poetry? Hmmm?
Alone doesn't have to be lonely if you love yourself enough to enjoy your own company. I have been single and living alone for so many years, that I could say I am used to it, but instead I will say, the times when I felt the most loneliness were when I had another person in my life and yet, it was as though they were a shell where I was concerned. Approaching them was like stepping into an icy abyss and it would make my soul ache, tearing at every shred of self-respect and self worth I had ever mustered. So in fact, I decided to live alone so that I would not feel lonely anymore...if this doesn't make sense, I understand since, it seems backwards in a way. Knowing a bit of your situation, from what you have written here, I am guessing that you live in that kind of loneliness- unwanted but never free. I hope that in the New Year you will find the strength to walk away from all that and take your life back, learn to live, love and become the source of your own happiness. It is hard to respect our self when we stay in a bad situation for all the wrong reasons. May the blessings of Christmas rain upon you and guide you into the light.
Love,
Sherry
Repentance is all God asks of us. May you find Christ's peace this day and all through the new year ahead. Merry Christmas. And I love the hymn. Sang
it tonight at Mass when I remembered all of you in my prayers.

Sad poetry this Christmas Eve, Tinka. Have a Merry Christmas if you can.
If you tend to believe romantic, passionate, masculine poetry is a thing of past eras, read "She Intrigues Me," and be swept away in the beautiful craft of a contemporary poet of love.
Inspirational poetry, written from the heart and soul. Verses that are well-suited for reading on a rainy day and that are guaranteed to bring a smile to your face.
