"On a road in southern England. There were many small roads like this, covered with trees. It's like driving through a tunnel."

"Avenue Of Green"
{ For Micky }
As I followed these avenues of green I felt so close to God The magnificence and beauty of it all So overwhelming… so Godly beautiful The moment blessed with a magical touch Green embrace of nature and love Surrounded by tranquility Before the grace of God It became quiet within my stormy heart A crystal teardrop fell from my eye As I stood still and praised the Lord For this beautiful moment in time And for that moment I felt loved again But as I whispered your name And begged the Lord To bring you here
Into my heart Another crystal teardrop of longing Slipped down my cheek The moment choked me With bitterness deep within Standing in this avenue of green Knowing I lost my dream once before But thank the Lord I now have you
A passionate suffusion of natural wonder and healing romance all rolled into one glittering ball of quiet thankful ecstasy. Gorgeously sublime.

Awesome picture Tinka. Looks like the small lanes around Woodhall Spa or Horncastle. Now you'll need to tell us where this beautiful path is because it sure had your Muse along for the ride in a positive way.Love,Susan
WHY DIDN'T YOU CALL IN?????!!!!! This MUST be a stone's throw from me!! :)) Such bittersweetness here, Tinks, and the emotion is palpable and yet delicately expressed with a rising hope that maintains the lift and resolution. TOTALLY KNOCKED OUT by your beautiful Ebb And Flow write on my Sea Change... what a review!! :)) Far more inspirational than my original poem - bless you and thank you. Kate xx
Beautiful words, Tinka, there are roads here in South Louisiana where the oak trees on one side of the road reach for their brothers and sisters on the other side and sometimes touch, causing that tunnel effect. I never get tired of seeing that.
