Caged - Emotions

Like a time-bomb ready to explode

Bewildered running around

Emotions held back

Caged

Not sure which way to go

There is no purpose

In trying to figure this out

A wild animal on the inside raging

Locked up in this invisible emotional cage

Blocked by fences unknown to the senses

That leads to danger

That withholds the future

Fences of financial uncertainty…disaster

Cage of loneliness…without a gate

As time is running out

Waiting like a prisoner

Time ticking by

Like a time-bomb waiting

Ready to explode

Caged emotions

Strange how fierce the simplest emotions can become when not allowed some form of expression. Thanks for the great write and the swinging tune.

Tinks ...

There will always be uncertainties in this crazy life. And there will always be those "types" that exacerbate our insecurities.

Financial uncertainty is a real tough one, and a loveless relationship is also a ticking time bomb. Substance abuse makes everything worse. There are so many parts of the human condition that can drag us over the coals.

You write honestly and open about many people's struggles Sissy. Well done!

Light and Wisdom ...
