Clouds

Have you ever taken the time

To pause for a little while

Lifting your head in prayer

But then instead of doing just that

You stare…then watch the clouds

Drifting across the sky

Ghostly changing form

From out of nowhere

Just silently go by

They constantly re-appear

To give you glimpses of another world

Just to then softly disappear

Changing images from angels

To a long beard wizard

To grazing sheep

The mother with her lamb

Moving from side to side

To disappear to nothingness

Or build up into a dark cloud

With flashes of light within

Like the crowd inter mingle

With a huge bang

Until the gray cloud

Starting to shed tears of rain

Did you see the lioness with her cubs?

Beneath the old oak tree the tortoise

The elephant and the bunny

With his very long ears

Old father rabbit melted away it seems

Let your imagination

Forever run this wild with me

Don’t be afraid to see things

You’re not crazy I swear

It’s just the child within

That makes you see these beautiful things

Go out and find a hundred or more images

And share them with me

Save the precious moment

And watch clouds in me go by
