My Distant Valentine
~~*~~

My days without you
Have been the loneliest
My Heart has ever endure
The night listens not
To the silent tears tracking down
The side of my face
Oh my darling
All this, seems just out of place.

In my cold nights
I reach for you
Where you once laid
Not realizing
Now you’re so far away.

Tell me my loving angel
Can you hear the wind
Carrying my whispers
Of
“I Love You.”

Those three words
I utter in my loneliness
Each night before I drift
Into peaceful sleep
I pray that on this night
I’ll See You in my dreams.
