The Skull I sat waiting a matinee In the darkness of a theater A man sat directly in front of me He wore a hat When the screen came alive With the coming attractions. *~~ He was a gentleman Removing his hat Head was shaved He wore a Tattoo of a Full size skull In the back of his head. ~~* Under neat was scribed “Hate” Over the top At a semi circle From left to right Was scribed In the front of my face You will see the truth *~~ Intrigued by it all I relocated myself stealthily to another seat In front of him I turned my head To see what was written Above the skull I felt out of place. ~~* To my great surprise His face was of chrome Brilliant as mercury Upon it, I saw my reflection *~~ By: William Bonilla “D’Artagnan” 11/26/08**

Awesome, unique write. I'm reminded of people who wear those mirrored sunglasses. When you try to see their eyes all you see is your reflection. I love this one - it's a keeper.

Hello William,

This is a very good poem, full of impact and unexpected revelations.
I get scared of skulls as they depict death, and I shrink from the emotion of "hate" (being too naive, I guess) but the poem was effective in that it brought chills to my otherwise "sunny" disposition.
