Punctuated Sighs
If I could smile discreetly and have him see my face
If winds of chance would take me in and in this breath I take
To fly o're lands of beauty ... land as a fallen leaf
To dwell beside his park bench and let him grin in peace
He knows that I am with him regardless of the miles
He reaches down for colors the wind brought with my smile
To circle just his shoulders and warm his chill away
To greet this man so fully and have him say "please stay"
Its dreaming but its comfort...its tears that fill my eyes
My darling friend I love you with punctuated sighs.
