She has taught me what love really means, Over all these years. It is painful, yet it seems, I can see through the tears. She taught me you can love without asking in return, She taught me that what the other needs is more important, She taught me that, while the heart can burn, The soul can be more constant. She did not intend these lessons, And she would ne'er put forth such. It was from her impressions, Not something intentional of touch, And she would ne'er more hurt me, Than I would her. And while I learned to let the heart be free, My love to her inter. I offer all my life to her, Yet only once in a great while, To be near do occur, And to bask within her wonderous smile. May God and all the enternities bless you, Dear lady of my heart's concern. And may life yet bless the things you do, And your sunshine soul always burn. Your servant within the walls of this mortality, Your friend so you will ne'er be ill with me, And always there in true reality, In whatever most comfortable you will be. I wish you only the best of all things, I offer you the sun, the stars and the moon, And the most gentle of songs life sings, Within this mortal tune.
Expressed like a noble a chivalrous knight of old, Jim. Powerful and lovely sentiments of "true" love. Thank you for sharing this gift. Love and peace to you,
This is beautiful. Let's trust that this exceptional love will be returned, one day when you least expect it. Cause, I happen to think it might - especially because of your love.
