My little girl was raped today, Her body violated by zealots full of hate, Her life not of any concern, Her lot only another lost one to fate.
My daughter is angry, Her new dress not what she had hoped, Her game upon the Wie, Not what she had originally scoped.
My children have again gone without food, The land yields us no sustanence, And there is so little to be had here, Our lives hang on with such reluctance.
My kids do not want pizza tonight, They balk at Mac and Cheese, And makes me want to scream, Their pickyness brings me to my knees.
The sun bakes my little boys dying face, It seems as if no one really cares. We are people too, Yet no one cares how our life fares.
My car is acting up again, My hair won't stay in place. I cannot get my kids to do well in school, They absolutely have no grace.
