Like any other soldier of fighting forces
a loving person makes his choices
but may be challenged by opposing voices
Chosing love as a choice of operating
will take quite bit of negotiating
A loving person can find himself alone
cause others may possess a heart of stone
or their heads may be gone

Jesus found love to be a hard icon to sell
seems many prefered the devil in hell
but the four letter word is easy to spell
Many times I've tried love but fail
I found myself riding a lonely trail
Quite a few times I found myself headed
back to the drawing board
This is when I looked up at the sky and
screamed what's a man to do Lord

However anything good worth having
will take a lot of work for saving
no matter how others are behaving
We live in a crazy mixed up environment
A person has to be thouroghly familar with 
his holy requirement
It's very hard for a true soldier to retire
especially when he's under fire
even if it's his heartfelt desire
