Sing I, for musing of the Rhodeia,
for Chloris, Aphrodite, Zephryus
of whom consumated satureia,
sanguine flora of redolent surplus
Legend tells verily of woe, and wane
in those lives denied the mortal coiling
despite youth, vigor vitale to sustain
now granted only death, within soiling
A fragile nymph robbed of her jest and whim,
a lover lost to the wooded reaches
whose veil upon a loiness did dim
with blood as this maiden sought far beaches
So it came to pass, her fairness would fast
when the Gods Rose, set in stone to last

You are certainly unique among modern poets, Tyler.
I thoroughly enjoy the "mind baths" of refreshment
I get from reading your verse.
You surprise even me.... a sonnet! ... and what a lovely one at that. Please submit it to me for publication in the Winter 2004 issue of SONNETTO POESIA.
And note other readers and poets on AD Tyler's throughly modern style, his omission of capital letters at the beginning of lines (thoroughly unnecessary in contemporary sonnets) and his the remarkable fluidity and compactness of his syntax, style and taut imagery... all thoroughly NECESSARY in any sonnet....
....not a word too many, nor a word too few.
That is what a sonnet MUST be, regardless.
Either you're in the kitchen and you put up with the heat, or you're out....

325 letters my father wrote to my mother during his time in World War II.
Woven together in a timeline of events of three of his brothers, 5 brothers-in-law, and one cousin, all 10 of them were in WWII at the same time.
