Obsessed with my weight
I begged for more weight
As thin women of my size
Caught no men in Africa
I envied those fleshy women
Who made sweat on the bed
And who impressed their men
In a high sentimental barrage
On coming to America
I found plenty to eat
I put on some weight
As I am glued to the TV
With this growing weight
I once again feel obsessed
I can’t go near the mirror
My image will scare me
Then again, don't like those bony thin specters that they praise as supermodels, or the big big mommas, hey! can't we go on the middle of the road? why the excess?
