Photograph of a postcard sent to me when I was recovering from surgery. At the time I saw it as a gesture of love. But I learned rather quickly not to trust gestures, as they can become weapons used to inflict pain.

Very strong and intense write.
Nevertheless, hearing from someone you love at a time you need it most is always a sign of love, I'd say. He cared and wanted to show you. Maybe just picked the wrong thing and was not aware that it might have hurt you.
But it's the will that counts.
Great suggestion - if we really could see and feel the world through another pair of eyes, all of us would behave in different ways. Until we can exchange ourselves, lets try to be guided by compassion and a sniff of caution. Franz

Sara, my valued friend, this exceptional write just blasted through my soul knowing that we all have at one time or another wished for just a second that someone else could step in our shoes or we could step into theirs. I am quite sure it would resolve most issues before they ever had a chance to blow up in our faces. As usual you are able to stir the emotions of your readers and admires with your gifted quill. Thank you for sharing your timeless creations. Since I am not sure when you had your surgery, I do hope all is well my friend. Take care.
If we truly could step into someone else's shoes, many many perspectives might change, but some would probably still be too blind to see.

Another "If you could only walk in my shoes" situations. Thing is I imagine that if he could look through yours eyes he might find more things to complain and act manly dumdum about. Better let the sleeping beast sleep. Better yet, check out the perspective through HIS eyes. Don't get angry at me, just contemplating.
