That's my cat Sparky, trying to snack on Mr. Fish. He spends hours draped all over the fish bowl. The two have slowly become best friends.

Disappointed:
That’s my new middle name.
I’m going to wear it everyday
like a chip upon my lapel.
No one will ever dare
to knock it off.
For if they did,
I’d be a little bit happier,
a little more satisfied,
and disappointed to have lost my name.
And when I walk into a room
all eyes will fall to me.
And what pray tell
will people see.
But a frown,
scowling at life,
living without glee.
So call me disappointed
when you want to call me.
Or leave me alone.
Either way
it’s the same difference.
Either way
I’m left cold,
alone,
and always getting
what I want -
disappointment.

The moral of this story is: you get what you want. So if what you are getting, isn't what you want, then start wanting something new.

Sara, I believe humans have always “thirsted for a better life,” how one gets there is another story altogether though, my gifted friend. Outstanding composition, thanks for sharing it. Great picture too! Take good care and be well.
