Poem Artwork

In front of my eyes there are many angels,
but in my eyes, there is only one angel.
That angel is you, and only you, my love.
And my love for you, is still as sweet
as the song of the bird’s after the storm.
Alas! If the dead can come back
to the Earth and flutter in silence around
those they loved, I shall come tonight
and whisper in your ears, “O love, I’d
left my love for you on the petals
of the breeze. Open the window
of your core, and let them stroll in.”
And then, perhaps, you may hold
my love, amid the tears of joy, in the
midst of your eyes. O love! Do not
mourn my death. There is the seed
of my love in your heart. You’ve got to
let it grow. You’ve got to let it blossom
into a beautiful rose. Do not be sad,
I shall descend from the Sky every night
into your arms, and rise from your lap
every morning as the Sun, and caress
the rosette of your cheeks with joy.
And if there be a stellar sensation
in your core, it shall be me, thinking
about you, my love! And if there be
a puff of waft in your hair, it shall be
me, holding you in my arms, my love!
Ah! Rejoice, and let the tears of happiness
in your eyes, tell me that you are still mine.
You are still mine. You are still mine.
I am not afar; I am just closer to the Stars.
I shall pass by like the breeze and heal your lips.

Dear Bhuwan,

This is magnificent, certainly a masterpiece in my eyes. This evokes so many emotions, beautifully romantic, yet a sadness of being alone, but the happiness dparted beloved looking upon one. The whole poem is penned with exceptional class although these lines are so very touching:

I shall descend from the Sky every night
into your arms, and rise from your lap
every morning as the Sun, and caress
the rosette of your cheeks with joy.
And if there be a stellar sensation
in your core, it shall be me, thinking
about you, my love!

Well done once again Bhuwan :)

warm hugs
Elga

This is good and it also puts me in mind of a poem written for cancer survivors and the ones that pass on. Called Free, another one is Death Be Not Proud.

Song of Songs in the Bible says that "Love is as strong as death and as unyielding as the grave"... this is an awesome poeticisation of the love that endures beyond death, Bhuwan, and is written with every atom of your living being, it seems to me. The sentiments and language are enduring and beautiful beyond measure. Your heart exceeds the romantic expression of anyone else I know in the language you use: so classical and yet wholly visceral and palpable. Never alone either side of the grave - what a message of the eternal nature of such a love! I especially love the lines that are so intimate and personal: "O love, I'd left my love for you on the petals of the breeze. Open the window of your core, and let them stroll in" and "I shall pass by like the breeze and heal your lips": so ethereal and yet totally intimate. You never cease to amaze me. God be with you mightily. LOL Kate xx

Bhuwan,
Written with the insight of a true poet. Romantic yes, but even more, it brings comfort to those suffering the loss of a loved one. Love never dies. Once true love is experiencd those feelings wrap themselves around our heart and remain with us forever. Absolutely true poetry at it's best today!
