Poem Artwork

Ask me, for my life, and I swear,
I will not let you go, with an empty hand.
But forgive me. O, my creator!
Forgive me- I cannot sing your song.

No matter, how much, I sing your song,
the proletariat will continue to suffer.
Do you realize this or not, or are you
addicted, only to our prayers?

There is no rhythm inside my core.
Ah! I don’t know, where it has gone.
Standing on the corpses of the poor,
- strewn with many, many thorns,
how can I sing, your glory, O, my God?

No longer do I sing, your song;
I murmur the common man’s despair,
and sing the song of the hungry one’s
-together with the ashes of the cremation ground.

There are hungry people to feed,
and naked people to clothe.
When, will you overcome, your addiction
to our prayers and tour our slums?

I don't expect a miracle from you.
But, I do think, it's not asking too much
for you to sing, with your own children
-the song of the hungry one’s.

This cuts to the quick, Bhuwan, and is a cry we can share with you, like the Pslamists, from our core. But, the fact that you are not indifferent to God means that your faith in the possibility of the intervention of an all-powerful God is still strong: you are a man OF faith, not WITHOUT it! Miracles can and do happen on a grand and personal scale ALL the time... but the world we now inhabit is, I believe, the one created by man in response to the choice he has made through his own free-will... the more and more selfish we have become, the more the greater good of the world has suffered. Man's fault and not the will and intentions of God, who loves the whole world as one entity. WE have created the misfortunes and miseries of those around us. It's the heart of man that needs to change to catapult him out of complacency. The world starts with a community of one: me. God, start with me; change MY heart. Then, like Andy below and others I am sure, we WILL see and know change. And a sea-change will take place when enough are stirred to DO things to make a difference and not just to shrug and feel helpless. One life, one at a time, in small ways... but, if this takes place all over the world, then we shall see it. Doesn't something like 90% of wealth belong to the top 10%... there's the answer in a nutshell. Get the hearts of that 10% stirred and shaken. With God, all things ARE possible - but He largely leaves us to exercise the free-will that we have been given and which we so love to use for our own gain. And YOU, Bhuwan, are unique: you are the heart of God in man's clothing. Thank you for showing us the way. Bless you always. Love and prayers, Kate xx

It is hard to explain why these prayers are not answered. Just as it is hard to explain the death of a child. however as this poem shows in its heart touching way, is that even when we are in our darkest moment and believe we have lost faith, we still seek the Spirit showing how deep our faith truly is.

Bhuwan, dear compassionate one, I feel your pain! How often have many asked the same questions that you have just stated? Yet, who are we to know the concepts and the mind of God? We don't even understand each others! Man has always been blessed with knowledge, yet, he has used it more for destructive, selfish and greedy purposes, than for world good. Our priorties are misplaced! Our, "Anything and everything is okay" beliefs and our disregard for life and other wrong attitudes, have brought us to this point. Unless each of us, does whatever we can to help solve these problems by example, love and involvement, we will all be lost! Have heart and hope, my friend ... and continue to work for a better world destiny.

It can be done. Once I'm cleared, I'll be off to Sanzukwi Zimbabwe.
Rolling the old sleeves up. Go to the little school, and help with village projects. Taking up the teachers and performas' Mothers invite.

It does not have to be this way.
We can change it. It can be changed.

We must never never quit..

Bhuwan:

This was a very compassionate write. I can't imagine how one could live through that, but I guess it happens to many. Sad indeed!

If only governments listened, if men who ahve all the food, power, money would listen the world would be a much better place, no one would need be hungry or unclothed, thankfully at least, everyday people, and the religious actually do at least try, but with governments that are corrupt, I wonder if this shall ever, ever end.

Bhuwan, This is touchy. I too do wonder sometimes when I see something like this. The picture is so scary. Do we have to blame God for the plight of the poor? He has provided everything for us for life and for godliness. There are people whom He has entrusted the ability to do something for the downtrodden, but as soon as they ascend up there, they forget.
I am sure that God will do something today.
You captured the core of my poetic bend.

Bhuwan I cried and prayed after reading this. Oh how my heart and soul hurts for your people, and you for all you do with seemingly little effect, for there is never an end to it!

Take heart Bhuwan, God hears you, but you know, He gave us all we need to have life abundantly ,but humanity hasn't lived up to its promise. Nations are led by greedy leaders and populaces of people who follow their lead without question. Then there are those who have given all their lives and see that it is a never-ending thing mainly because their offerings never get to the people that need it most. Many people have given up on a helping hand, because of the way the leaders of nations practice tyranny . there are so many reasons why we have masses of starving people, but none of them are God's fault! How can He help people who reject him and turn to their own ideas and desires with no concern for their fellow man,

The whole world is in crisis right now because of ideology and no one pays attention to the poor and starving masses. I hurt deep in the bottomless depths of my soul for the starving. I hurt even more for the Creator who must grieve beyond our understanding, to see how corrupt mankind is to allow it to happen!

I'm keeping you in prayer!

Love,
Eileen
