my reaction to this picture and poem is, "If I ever complain about my life again, shoot me for being selfish." We all know the word starvation but few of us take the time to think about it. Thank you for making me think about. The next time I see a homeless person, I'll buy them food.

Oh my God, this is an eye opener. I showed this to our youngest son who complains if we don't buy his favorite cereal...how pampered, blinded, and ignorant we truly are to ignore this problem!
Shocking! Devastating! Hungry bellies, it is said, have no ears... and overfed bellies apparently have no hearts.... or minds. I am also at a loss to know how, in this day and age, it is possible for aid not to be delivered, and for public policies to be in place that do not feed the world. When we can send messages in the blink of an eye, unjust practices ought to be able to be spotted and dealt with as effectively and as quickly. Heartbreaking devastation! Your pictures and words remind us of our guilt and neglect. There's enough wealth and Food in the world to feed EVERYONE! And yet . . . ?
Powerful and heartbreaking. We can each do a part by "adopting" a child through a reputable organization. I help feed and clothe a child in Uganda. Everyone can do that and I don't know why they don't. It takes so little.
Why is it like this? Why does food not get to those who need it most? It is as if it were planned to be this way; that the people who were put in charge were placed there for political not humanitarian reasons. Your words cut through all the red tape and bullsh**, Bhuwan and starkly show the reality that exists for so many in our world.
