When the world was created
everything was black and white …
dark or bathed in sunlight.
Things looked a little scary;
noises resounded … hairy.

God poured colors from on high,
told each drizzle where to flow …
to glaze heavy or ooze slow.
Then He made winds to blow
from high in the sky.

From faintest pastels to brights,
God hung colored skies and lights.
The earth ripples with delights …
ev'ry grain was considered,
ev'ry flake of a blizzard.

God and His masterful art
infused man to his part
to respect earth from the start.
Earth has been raped and plundered.
He's called us down, has thundered.

Now the recall has begun
as the waters, colors run
from mankind … son-of-a-gun!
We began our destruction
with our greed and construction.

Rivers blue now puke lime green
and the earth has belched, rumpled
as her beauty has crumpled.
The earth's turning black and white
until God switches all light

and plunges mankind to night.
