Imagine an honest to goodness corndog with human feelings and emotions. I hope he doesn't get seared!

Poem Artwork

Goodbye ... Hello

A weiner tot when you left me
as fancy free as one can be.
Gee ... you're lookin' fine.
No bites--a good sign
you've dipped in smelly rine.

It's been a year since we last hugged
and quite a few times I've been mugged.
Lost that coat of corn
with which I was born-
found one in the shed, was yorn.

You've been under the light and split.
Nothing you used to wear will fit.
Let's go to the mill, do,
to get you a wrap ... new.
A silk mayonaisse slipper too.

Shriveled from the heat, oil free,
need moisture inside out ... and me.
Dang, you are wrinkled!
Your appearance frizzled.
You too long hung around the pot.

Once a HOT dog but, now you've changed
all the good stuff rearranged.
Whoe'er you trusted
should be busted.
"Came to say bye, Clyde. Found my bun!"

"Why say 'hello' to say good-bye?
You're not a weiner ... just a sty."
No tears were shed, cried.
(Leaky holes in her sides.)
When YOU are happy ... enough done

don't return for 'hello,' 'goodbye.'

tough on a corn dog Sandy, but they do come in handy, wouldn't have a chance around my wife, neither do chickens, funny prose, Lord knows, lets say a prayer for the poor corn dog

...in the beginning...seems like he did not really have a leg to stand on...do you think he might have been a battered victim in a previous existence? In light and humor...great art...wonderful creative pen...Sandra...
really enjoyed...

Ha ha, this is hilarious! The pic is too cute; you draw corndogs well (and I hate most corndogs, but Clyde, I like! LOL). Very well penned and illustrated; brava!

(((HUGS))) and much love, your friend in Tx., Karen Lynn. :D
