Ribbons, pastel, rainbow my mind …
the cleft of cascading flows, slows.
As the colors separated,
happiness balked, hesitated,
then streaked across my face … smiled.
Love strung a rainbow in my mind
where reels of memories unwind
and I feel their touch … inner glows.
Bows and wrappings, rainbow my mind …
box up darkness, fears, ease a smile.
It’s a gift I’ve searched for … a while.
Sorrow had to pass for love’s bloom …
the colors were brighter—no gloom.
Life strings a rainbow everywhere;
life must go on … though some don’t care.
All on earth linger but a while.
Those He loaned me rainbow my mind—
each unique … just one-of-each-kind.
Though some were violets, some weren’t;
some were so ‘hot’ you could get burnt but,
all came together in my world.
Each hung a rainbow in my heart
(though they’re not, we’re not far apart)
and they are always on my mind.
Love strung a rainbow
… living does too
…..spirits dwell in hearts
……where lives’ rainbows arch.
Love strings rainbows … one of a kind … in my mind.
