This poem is based on a memory of Curt Jurgens' Stromberg character in the Bond movie, The Spy Who Loved Me.
Stromberg owned a shipping line, and possessed a fearsome looking spider-like submarine, and, when not planning the destruction of mankind, he could be found at his large dining table listening to Bach, Mozart, and other great composers of the classical world.

All right for some, eh? :-)

MOZART

A megalomaniac's submarine slowly rises
from the sea to the strains of Mozart's concerto;
James Bond isn't so classy as Wolfgang Amadeus.

I don't know the first thing about submarines
or symphonies, but anyone who dies
in a pauper's grave after giving
the world such sublime music
has to be special, like Tchaikovsky
and his ballets; an elegance
transcending the centuries.

Kenny, this is particularly dear to my heart as Mozart is, for me, the supreme artist. Thank you for this, it means so much.

I don't know as much as I'd like to know, but Kenny I do know
that I like Mozart...and the way you write. Love the poem.

genius is oft undervalued, unnoticed, and unacceptable in some circles. .. . van gogh and klimt in my visual world. ..and what we dont understand, we put away....cast away. . .. and thank God they pursue us instead of the other way around ...
they beg for our beauty to burn~

Amazing isn't it, how our esthetic sense is so deeply disturbed when we lesrn how so many classic masters of the arts,in all genre's had such ignoble lives and deaths. It really is a cause to lament...
