A bad animal
For those who need to have
Everything spelled out.
But a poem without words
Is anything but silent;
What is left unsaid,
- it goes without saying -
can speak volumes,
like an elephant in the room.
Too long in the trunk
And word drunk,
We all know poets who borrow
From other poets -
It’s called eating the dung
Of other elephants.
Words forgotten,
And nothing more to say;
We all end up
In an elephant’s graveyard, anyway!
