I live in Jilin province,
in the town of Erdao Baihe,
I am a butterfly, a large black
' swallow-tailed' butterfly.

There are many flowers in Baihe.
The air is really fresh
and scented with tall pines
that thrive here, so close to Changbaishan.

The high trees are commonly called

'big slim girls' by the Baihe folk.

Swallows fly swiftly over the Baihe river,
darting this way and that.
The Mandarin ducks are very colourful,
and even the moths are beautiful!

I am very lucky to live in Erdao Baihe.
It is a good environment for butterflies.
