Poem Artwork

Cynicism is intellectual treason-Norman Cousins

BLUNDERED ON THE SLIP

Thoughts soar the breath of space
Freed of the weight of words
Unharnessed at the base
To privlidge the unheard

Yet half of what is said
Dies lost upon the lips
For thoughts diffused widespread
May blunder on the slip

Truth rests by silent peace
In the vessel of our reason
For tho it gains release
Some ears may call it....treason!

Ah, yes, the sublime message. Nevermind that, this poem was written so tightly it squeeked as I read it.

Not one word wasted here and you have marshalled your considerable forces into one round of on-target ammunition that blows me out of the water - Ker-pow!! Such precision and sleek accuracy - I am in awe! Speaks mightily to gas-bags like me... half the time I am thinking while I am moving my lips: "I'm glad I'm not having to listen to this!" Yeah, I know... I am inviting the inevitable here, but point taken and I WISH I could take heed! If you think I'm bad on paper....!!!!!! I should go round with this write pasted on my forehead with the message below: "Keep reminding me!" Keeping this FOREVER and etching on my brain... LUV IT!! TY Kate xx

Lady A, you may call it a hormonal poem, I call it brilliant, with a strong timeless message attached. This is one of the most profound writes I have ever had the priviledge to read. ((Hugs)) Fletcher B.

many times the weight of words is out of balance and infringes on the sense of fairness and is indeed a treason of perspective ...

powerful poem!
