INFLUENCE OF RAP MUSIC ON ISOLATED CULTURES
- Pt 12 of Cookies Gotz No Brains
Or
Rainbow and Rappers

We stayed upon our island
For eighty happy years
And hardly aged at all
Except in Cookie years

My boys in adolesance
Ed, Dave, Ruf and I
Didn't show time's passage
As the years flew by

Chilselpecks and Frumpy
Also didn't age
Spent their time together
Like poetry on page

The island once divided
By a long stone wall
Soon became united
When people came to call

Upon me and my babies
For we were living proof
That gingerbread was vital
For more than Witch's roofs

The land  played but one anthem
Of united brotherhood
The harmony of unity
Blended all for good

Purple clouds rained sprinkles
Upon once barren fields
And blossomed with abundance
As bumper crops were  yield

The people followed rainbows
And there at every end
Were pots filled with sprinkles(no red ones)
In cheerful color blends

We stayed in isolation
At least to a degree
That is until we turned
To cable channel three

 Mighty Red made a plea
From ALL OF COOKIEVILLE
To come back to your homeland
Before Ed eats his fill

He voilated Cookies
Spit them into crumbs
Speared them with his tail
Be they stale or young

Moldies formed militias
Patroling every street
Even set a curfew
And spied when Ed would eat

She even went so far
To make a rap CD
For she was a supporter
And sent these words to me

NO EXCUSES
BY MS MIGHTY RED

So you tasted the cookie, do not fret,
You never chewed, at least not yet
I would have chomped and acted bold
Eaten the center and skipped the mold
For with just a lick the sin is cast
So just eat it all and have a blast.
As long as I would fall from grace,
I'd hold some sprinkles up to my face
And snort them up to keep the high
While I chewed and swallowed that cookie guy

(She was a bit militant, but loyal beyond belief, yet she did not know about the babies, the people of the island kept us safe from the eyes of the world, she knew we were out there, just not where.....and she stayed young looking too.........maybe it was the sprinkles....and all the dancing?)

She made a  dance video as well
And had little happy cookies
Break dancing on their heads
Without crumming  up their nookies

Wow........SUPER COOKIES!!!

Frumpy, Ed, Dave and Pecks
Finally sat me down
You have responsibilities
For  you once wore the crown

You must go back to Cookieville
And help poor Ogre Ed
He acts like he is starving
And never has been fed

You have your lovely cookieboys
Who now are almost men
They are the living, breathing proof
That we can all be friends

Look about you A Pax
This island once divided
Is the true Utopia
Trust us....it's been....deceided

Then my Ogre Daddy
Horny head and tail
Said that he would go back too
To show Ed, how he failed

Ed will understand
If he sees me now
For I've not touched a cookie
And to Great Lard
I bow

For I have learned that cookies
Indeed they are alive
I will be the breathing proof
So Ed won't live the lie

We ogres can exist
Without being foul
Eating living cookies
Ugh
The thought now makes me howl!!

(I will fight anyone who touches my grandbabies)

Ahhhhhhhhhh ooooooooooooohhhhhhhhhh

(He was pounding his chest like Tarzan)

We sat in a large circle
Channeled the Mothership
Said goodbye to all our friends
And thus.......began our trip

To Be Continued

GOOD QUEEN A PAX

Ut-Oh family trip...always a major bummer...someone invaribly wants to stop for food then 20 minutes later, they make you stop again because they gotta pee...and all the way to Cookieville!!! OY! Girlfriend.

Extra! Extra! Alert to Good Queen Pax from Ms Mighty Red.

I hope you remember to bring hazmat suits

Complete with recycling air

Because Ogre Ed now smells much worse

He's not so much as washed his hair

He now eats cookies slathered with lard

So thick that it spreads with a knife

His face is bloated with piggy eyes

He's a pathetic waste of a life

Don't forget your rose colored glasses

For Cookieville is a horrible fright

I'm sure you would not even know this place

In the daytime or under moonlight

Ed's created thousands of cookie clones

In the likeness of himself

So just when you think you've done him in

You see ten more sitting up on a shelf

With vile, stinking cookie breath

They breathe polution into the air

The EPA's tried to eliminate them

But alas, they've gotten nowhere

Ed's turned into a bit of a perv

Who acts out while in public eye

By molesting young, tender, ginger girls

Taking a bite from thigh to thigh

Your help is needed Good Queen, Pax

To restore our once peaceful life

Perhaps Ed would change his dogish ways

If we were just able to find him a wife

Though I think we should start with a blow-torch

And burn off all of his hair

Then hose him down with insecticide

To kill the lice that are living "down there"

Perhaps there's still hope for Ogre Ed

Once he meets his cookie grandkids

Maybe they'll change his cravings from

Eating cookies to kadydids

Another excellent chapter in this unfolding saga, Anita!

Take care,

Sherry

'Are we there yet???' Always a favorite kid mantra from the back seat. I like the 'never aging' part. The last thing I need is another wrinkle, unless it's in my skirt-which I don't care... I'm going for the 'Worst Dressed' hall of fame this year. I know I can do it!

Queen Pax A

This would have been a great one for Independence Day...with that big mothership ready to descend on Cookie Island...better late than never...LOLS

And you will need to bottle that rare air that exists on your enchanting island, it sounds like the elixir of life....and just like Chiselbecks and Frumpy.... us fellow poets want to put our best foot and cookie forward on the poetry pages...

Love your fabolous animated graphics, and all the hard work and endeavour, that so evidently goes into making these epic spats !!

Roll out the batter and banter Good Queen !!!

I just knew that those tainted Cookie Sprinkles were responsible for all of these delusions of yours, 'Good' Queen. You best not snort any more, and keep an eye on that old salty dog, Captain Sprinkles; you have to know that he's up to no good - especially if he's snorting them, too.

And I will never believe that the good King, Maximilius Ogre the Umpteenth, would ever give up his cookies. We ogres quote him all the time: "COOKIES - GOOOOOD!"

The New Debtors' Prison by Paul Lonardo

While Debtors prisons no longer exist, many people continue to be persecuted for crimes related to poverty or inability to repay money owed to municipalities. This practice remains in an injustice that needs to be rectified.
