Poem Artwork

Music expresses feeling and thought, without language; it was below and before speech, and it is above and beyond all words.
~Robert G. Ingersoll

=~MUSIC OF MAN TRIBE~=

From early man, to MTV
We undulate thru harmonies
From sticks, and stones, and turtle shells
The hand of music, weaves its spell

With sound alone,we've catacombed
Upon new scores, and those of old
As words may be the souls envoy
A melody, we all enjoy!

When Tower Babble, fell from sky
Communication went awry
Miscalculated vanities
Divided earth's humanities

Man tribe divided now had lost
Prime verbiage clear, at dearest cost
Divided now, across the land
By speech they could not comprehand

But joyous music touches all!
Words are NOT needed to enthrall!!
When we respond to rhythmic sound
Man tribe relates, by speech refound

Lady A

I think this rocks, LA!! I think you've inspired me to compose a piece on my Bio quote, "Music is a predator"...but it is also a lover. :)

I've done that a lot, end off with something completely different than what I first thought to write about...

This was a very good poem, music is indeed the universal language... :)

Lady A, I like it also. Very well done. 90% of what I write is not what I started out to do. (lol)

Lady A...

Life is nothing without music...if it is in your head or on the radio... it's still so very important to our souls. I liked your expression in this.
