Poem Artwork

Red rebel spreads discord

At a remote approaching;
In the bastion of superpower
Its Commander-in-Chief
Does not lock himself up
In the snug place but undertakes
All responsible measures
To nip the evil in the bud
And thus prevent its spreading out
To all the other regions.

He does not wait for
Irreversible consequences
But launches with reformations,
Starting from his own household.
At that there is nothing better
Than steering a middle course
To avoid blame and repentance
In the aftermath of the catastrophe.

There is no sense to bar the doors
As the House is empty by now:
Neither rivals nor allies you can see
Behind its close shutters of the talks.
Eventually, it comes to be useless
Trying to fill it up under initial design.

Missle diplomacy is a dangerous game. Let's smoke a peace pipe or talk over some tea.

I am not sure I am in the right circle of allusion, but I do agree that all commanders need transparency. And a middle course is preferable to leaning so far to right or left that everything tumbles down.

Taking the middle course "between the extremes" is part of the perennial philosophy of many religions, very sound advice indeed.
