Dew
Sparkling diamonds on my lawn,
As it glistens with morning dew.
Glittering Emeralds at the dawn
Shimmering playfully in changing hues.
Twinkling on the deep green fronds,
Flickering from reds to greens, to blues.
Sparkling diamonds on my lawn,
As it glistens with morning dew.
Winking starlite, captured dream like,
Casting a gossimer hue.
Those sparkling diamonds greeting daylight,
Clinging softly to leafy rue.

my fav of early dew comes when the cold drives little spiders to ground and the orb weavers leave their gorgeous bedazzle webs out along the pasture fence
