T’was the Eve of X-mas,
I heard a Fuss!
Hooves on the Rooftop -
Creaking a Truss!
Clickety, Clickety, Click,
Bet it’s Ole Saint Nick!
Clickety, Clickety Clack,
With a Sack on his Back!
WHOOSH - Bing, Bam!
Down through the Chim-ley he Came!
Whop, Flop, Wham!
Along with a Chorus of -‘Dam, Dam, Dam!’
Talk about a Big Sound,
He Hit the Hearth,
And did Abound!
Yep - Rotund, or Round!
So - This was Kris Kringle?
His Boot-Bells all A-Jingle!
Resembled Tim, in “Santa Clause”
Right to Work - no Chat, no Pause!
But when he saw me standing Near,
“Hey Bud - how about a Shot N’ a Beer?’
To the Ole Kitchen I Shot -
Double for Both - that’s what I Got!
A Clink of Glasses,
Then ‘Down the Hatch!’
“What a Good Boy, Bud -
Go Get us Another Batch!”
Helped him Unpack all the Toys,
For Good Lil Girls n’ Boys.
Ma n’ Me did Okay Too -
Several Wrapped Boxes - Contents? No Clue!
“Hide that Milk and Cookies -
Deep Under the Sink,
Don’t Want the Rookies
To Know we had a Drink!”
Santa Klaus was Now certainly Jolly,
Red Cheeks n’ Nose told of his Folly!
Saint Nicholas was Pale of Face,
But Displayed both Aplomb n’ Grace!
“Well, that’s it, Bud - I’m all Done!
But, One for the Road, T’would be Fun!”
Sleinte’ - Prost! - L’Chiam - Cheers!
We then Knocked Off - Three More Beers!
As Father Christmas was Leaving,
And began to Shimmy Up the Flue,
I once again was Believing -
Like The Taming of The Shrew!
Moral of This Story?
Some Hope for Love and Glory?
May Peace Permeate Ole Planet Earth -

Other than that nit picky.ness, I loved this write. Poor Santa better be glad the deer are driving, or else we might read that he was arrested for DUI! Just so he doesn't drink so much he falls OUT of the sleigh, because of RUI (Riding under the influence). LOL
And loved the history of the names of Santa at the end: Hoteioisho, eh? Incorporating his "Ho Ho Ho" into Japanese: now that's clever. Domo arigato, my friend. :) And Merry CHRISTmas to you and yours!
