Up in the environs of South Jersey,
Lives a big lug name of Ed.
Nicknamed ‘Jersey Devil’
He was just taken sick in Bed.
Not long ago, he complained of -
Too much Peein’ -
Which overworked his poor Kidneys -
Got tired of his Wee-Weein’!
This Hardheaded Backwoods Lad -
‘Twas down in the Dumps,
‘Cause life dished out to him -
Some Tall Mean Lumps!
Brothers Georg and Peewee -
Got hard-pressed and Concerned -
‘Twas evident to See -
When of his Illness they Learned.
Phone calls and emails started flyin’ so Fast -
The miles, a great distance - so Vast.
How could they help him - what could they Do?
Kept on - keepin’ on - ‘til the task was Through!
‘Tween some good Neighbors n’ Rene’
Got his ole Arse to Hospital, where he will Stay -
‘Til the Good Lord n’ the Doctors n’ Nurses -
Heal this ole Writer of Reverse Verses!
Cards and Letters - n’ maybe even Flowers?
For Matchless Matlack - to encourage more Showers!

Oh God, was so sorry to hear and have been praying. God help him to get well and in my prayers he stays until home with his family. Be well my friend....
Life is not the same without li'l brother, will ask Ma why he's so mule stubborn! But he will get well soon enough, I asked the Big Boss Above to make him well as a favor to me...so I can kick his ass with my nr. 9 Marines boot when he's up and running!
Light hearted, but oh, so caring, Tom. Just what Jersey Ed would appreciate. Isn't this great news...Ed on road to road to recovery, however slowly??!!

Good poetry about friend Ed. Glad Rene took him to hospital cause he was so stubborn and would not even get to a doctor. He needs looking after more so than he thinks. May he continue to progress fast and be back here on the den writing to us and for us. Thanks Tom, for the report.
