More research has been conducted in the historical archives of 'The Brothers Ed.'

It has been said that "Truth is stranger than Fiction!"

Ergo, to Matlack, I bid this Valediction!

OH ... the Pic ... "Dump-Devil" ...
still Guarding the Shore
of the Estate of Lord Bawlmer' ...

J is for Joisey!

© - Tom Hyland - 5/23/11

J is the Tenth letter of our Alphabet.
It provides us with words like Juicy n’ Jet.

The Original Jersey, is part of the Channel Islands,
Off the Coast of Normandy,
A British Crown Dependency, The Bailiwick of Jersey,
And Dates back to the Early Nine Hundreds!

In the 1640’s, Charles II gave George Carteret,
Bailiff and Governor, a Large Grant of Land
In the American Colonies,
Which he promptly named New Jersey.

This is where ‘The Jersey Devil’ Lives!
In the Jersey Barrens -
Sort of a - ‘Baron of Carrions’
Aka ‘Stinky’!

As commented previously at ‘Sir Scoops-A-Lot’ Ed Kostro’s
Authentic Historical Expose’ Entitled:
‘The Tale of Old Wuss-A-Lot Ed’ -
More ‘Dirt’ has been Dug Up ...

Jealous Cousin ‘Sir Wuss-A-Lot Ed’
Turns out to be an Erroneous Misnomer!
Ed ‘The Matlack’ was Never Dubbed a Knight!
As he Rarely Bathed, he was Dubbed a Jackanapes or Knave!

This Lowly Gull-Poop encrusted Guard
Altho’ Tall n’ Fat as Lard -
Was merely a Feif-Less Feudal Peasant -
A ‘Ne’er-Do-Well’ - Never Ever Pleasant!

So, more accurately, ‘Knave Wuss-A-Lot’
His Just Desserts is What he Got!
Was his Jealousy Justifiable?
Nah! for he had No Je ne sais quoi !

Lacking Maturity or Sophistication, he was Jejune -
And Always Begged and Pleaded for a Boon.
He Bitched, and Moaned, and Groaned -
His veritable Jeremiad was never Condoned!

A ‘Jersey’ may be a knitted Woolen Pullover,
Or a pale brown Dairy Cow from the Isle of Jersey.
Or even a Jester named ‘Ed The Lesser’
So sayeth, ‘Lord Bawlmer’ .. the ‘Messer’!

Your day will come,
And when it does,
Then you will be done,
Pickin on the Jersey Devil,
Like Pee-wee & did Edvard,
Will only bring upon you his wrath,
One day you will find him sitting in your tub taking a bath...Jerseeeeeeeeeeey

HO, HO, HOLY BEACH FRONT BONANZA, BATMAN! That is One Big Dump!!

PS: Based on your 'in depth' historical research, I guess I should change all of my references to Sir Wuss-A-Lot to Knave Wuss-A-Lot.
