Priority Straight

I know I’m blessed because I’ve always known
That only in an instant he’d be grown,
But I won’t fret on time and where it went
With pictures showing me it was well spent.

There is no price to put on times like these
With memories that will forever please.
A simple choice for life as it should be,
It’s really true ; the best of things are free.

I’m telling you, don’t let these moments pass.
Don’t let the sand fill up inside the glass.
This is no chore that may be left undone,
So thank God every day you have a son.

As you get older choices that you make
In pictures that you do or do not take
Reveal the kind of man who you have been.
An empty photo album is a sin.

So grab your boy before he is a man,
But even then I’m saying that you can.
As long as you have life it’s not too late,
Make sure that your priorities are straight.
