Tell me a story of the multiple eyes,
A tale whose wisdom I cannot despise.
The eye a fine prism all things pass thru,
To understand the creation as God knew.
The eye of the owl penetrating and wise,
Piercing the darkness with little disguise.
No creature can escape its probing gaze,
Defying the odds against the night’s haze.
I have heard speak of the emerald eye,
That bedecks nature in greenery to espy.
The unlikeliest prism to outshine gold,
More beauty this stone hides than told.
Scripture mentions the camel in a riddle,
Never to pass thru the eye of the needle.
The proverbial rich man never so small,
To pass thru the eye, not even at a crawl.
Forget not the peace in the eye of a storm,
Out of a swirling vortex, serenity is born.
Life in the storm’s eye can accrue no blame,
Turmoil enough to encircle with its shame.
Finally, let us recall the eye of certainty,
As true complement to the eye of beauty.
Truth reveals itself to us in many forms,
Shining brightly thru all earthly storms.
I will now speak of the Eye of God,
We are God’s eyes, His human ward.
I am the Eye with which you see;
I am the Ear that hears your plea.
The Eye of God has truly many faces,
Standing as sentinel in many places.
I am the voice with which you speak,
Listen to words to console the meek.
The Eye of God sees everything and all;
Wherever you turn, His Face will enthrall.
I have nothing more to say, but only this:
To see thru the eye of God is to see bliss.
To worship God as if we actually see Him;
To see Him is whimsical but never a whim
What am I but a story forgotten in history;
In death, I will see thru the Eye of Mystery.
GORGEOUS! You caught my belief system perfectly. And I don't think it a coincidence, which I don't believe in, that your picture is of my totem animal, the owl. Rebecca
In "A Touch of Your Presence" are words that would inspire, encourage and strengthen one's soul when faced with challenges and difficulties and to know the awesomeness of God's power.
